Blog 25: Mentorship

L: Jonathan Rosales (626)-488-9901

I: The most important experience I gain from this component is working on the code that help perpare me for creating the website. This is important because it gives me real world practice with using the code I learned to create websites and allowed me to get used to this new system. It is also just practice for what i could be doing later down the line.

A: This component has helped me answer my EQ by letting giving me the skills I needed to create my website. Without this period of time to learn to use the system, then i wouldn't be able to help my mentor effectively when creating the website

My ten hours with Jonathan have made me ask these questions:
  • How do you create new languages?
  • How many IP addresses are left?
  • Is IPV6 there to deal with a growing shortage of IPV4?
The most important thing I learned is about the IP addresses, because that is how all of our computers find each other in the network.

This helped my choose this as my topic because it gave me greater insight on the device I'm working on right now and how it allows you to see it from most other devices on the network. I think that's interesting and our society is most likely going to expand and innovate in this field.
